We were so excited when Heather, of Heather Beard Photography, asked us to host her annual styled shoot! We were even more excited when she used the words "Rustic-Glam". I immediately envisioned beautiful ball gowns, snowy fields, and clydesdales... then I remembered we live in North Carolina where we're lucky to see snow once a year and our 'clydesdale' is a mini horse named Theodore. However, Heather's vision for the shoot ended up being like 1,000 times better than my daydream anyways. Scroll down for proof, people.
I want to kick this thing off with these beautiful floral designs by Willow Floral Boutique because they were truly the icing on the cake and really set this party off! My two favorite things about floral designs right now are eucalyptus and everything red... I think Aubrey nailed it.
Okay, so can we talk about these these beautiful girls and their jaw dropping gowns? Kara and Lily were such troopers and made this shoot so fun! Paige and Elliot , the newest bridal boutique in the Lake Norman area, were the sweetest dolls and let us spend a fun morning playing dress up and choosing these gowns. You guys must go visit our friends Erin and Candace, they are bridal gown Samurais, they will fight to the death to find your perfect match.
Holy sweet dreams, y'all. This cake was not only gorgeous, it was freaking delicious. I know because I ate at least 40% of it in 48 hours, which is really saying something because I usually don't touch anything that doesn't have something to do with chocolate. This cake was AH-MAZING. You must do your taste buds the biggest treat and order something delicious from Curly's Cupcakes.
Heather and I got real fancy and put together a tablescape that went right along with the 'Rustic-Glam' vibe we were going for. First of all, this china is something that would bring tears to your eyes [if you're anything like me, that kind of stuff really, really gets your going]. You add that flatware and I'm on my knees bawling and thanking Jesus [and Aunt Dee for letting me use her beautiful china]. Then the floral centerpiece + cowhide and someone needs to call an ambulance because I cannot breathe. That may be just a little dramatic, but I loved everything about this table.
A special thanks to Circle M staffers, Snappy and Norm, who could not give-up the limelight for even one day. Your confidence is inspiring.
And Heather Beard, girl, you are a creative powerhouse. Your eye for capturing the most beautiful and perfect images is something special. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your masterpiece.
And y'all, the big bonus is that when Cara Martin, of Cara Lee Videography, wraps up her magic you'll get a peak into what kind of shenanigans happen behind the scenes at these types of super classy rendezvous.
